Bearing fruit

The gardening efforts of 163 groups and individuals bore fruit when they were presented the Community In Bloom Awards 2008.

The biennial Awards recognises excellence in gardening and encourages the sharing of creative ideas. This year saw not only an increase in the number of entries but also the introduction of a new category for balcony gardens.

In the same year, six individuals were named Community In Bloom Ambassadors for having gone the extra mile in spreading the gardening bug and facilitating gardening projects.

Community In Bloom organises gardening talks regularly at the libraries.
