Undergraduate Scholarship

The NParks Undergraduate Scholarship is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with outstanding academic results as well as excellent CCA records.

With the support of the Garden City Fund, there will be additional Scholarships supported through the Garden City Overseas Scholarship Programme.

NParks scholars will enjoy a week-long attachment to the various divisions to better understand the organization’s operations before their studies. They will also have a mentor from the organization whom they can seek guidance from during their overseas studies as well as a buddy from the pool of scholars still studying.

They will have varied and interesting careers with NParks as they will have the opportunity to be posted to different divisions within NParks as well as to the Ministry of National Development or any of its statutory boards after working in NParks for a few years. They will also have the opportunity to pursue their postgraduate studies in the future.

Course of Study (3 - 4 years)

Horticulture, Forestry, Botany, Environmental Science / Management, Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning.

Overseas Merit Award

The NParks Overseas Merit Award is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with outstanding polytechnic (Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Management) results as well as excellent CCA records.

NParks awardees will enjoy varied and interesting careers with NParks as they will have the opportunity to pursue their passion in horticulture and further hone their horticultural skills by working in the many public parks in Singapore or at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Course of Study (1 year)

1 year Horticulture (bridging degree) at the University of Queensland. For more information on this course, do check out the University of Queensland website.
