Have you been working out lately? If you have, keep up the good work. If you have yet to engage in some exercises, it is high time that you step outdoors and work it out! Our parks, nature reserves and gardens invite you to an assortment of activities that will have you exercising your way to better health and fitter body!

For a moderate-intensity workout, just don your most comfortable sports outfit and running shoes, and you are all set to go. Get down to your nearest community park for a relaxing jog before or after a day's work. Most of the parks have running tracks where you can run comfortably. The running trails in Bedok Reservoir Park and MacRitchie Reservoir Park have risen to such great popularity levels that schools often hold cross-country runs there. 

Fancy a fun workout on wheels amidst a beautiful lush environment with a nice beach view? In parks such as Pasir Ris Park and East Coast Park, you can rent a bicycle from the bicycle rental kiosk and cycle your way to fewer calories. Alternatively you can rent a pair of inline skates to swing, coast and glide through the park. While you may not feel the beads of perspiration running down your face, your body has most certainly already received the benefits of skating. An excellent aerobic activity for people of all ages, inline skating actually works a wide array of muscles. For some chatter and laughter along the way, why not gather a few friends or family members?

In many of the parks, you can flex your muscles and work your physique at the exercise stations. Do some sit-ups and push-ups, improve your functional stability on the balance beam and work your arm muscles through the parallel bar.

Your feet have taken you to many places so perhaps you should reciprocate by bringing them to the right place? Pamper your tired feet at no charge here at foot reflexology paths in the parks. Pebbles along the path come in different shapes and sizes to give your feet a good workout in various intensity levels.

If exercising in solitude is not your cup of tea, how about joining like-minded enthusiasts in the workout activity which you are interested in? Choose from a list of activities such as Tai Chi, wu shu, yoga and sword exercise. Friendly and experienced instructors will guide everyone through the exercise routine. Make new friends as you burn off calories and get your body rejuvenated.

Get your body in shape now and come exercise alfresco where fun and fitness are infused into one. Whether you are young or old, there is definitely something for everyone here in our lovely parks and gardens!
