HortPark is part of the Southern Ridges, which also comprises Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve. We are a one-stop gardening hub that brings together gardening-related, recreational, educational, research and retail activities under one big canopy in a park setting. We are also a knowledge hub for plants and gardening, providing gardening ideas and solutions, and offering a platform for the industry to share best practices and showcase garden designs, products and services.
We are especially popular with gardening enthusiasts, families, and community groups who yearn for a tranquil environment for relaxation, and are frequently visited by people who enjoy taking nature walks along the Southern Ridges.
Open daily from 6am to10pm, there are lots to explore and gather gardening ideas from at HortPark!
To nurture an active gardening culture, we focus on 3 key areas:
1. Learning & Education
Through guided tours, talks and hands-on workshops, learning in HortPark goes beyond textbooks, and is targeted at cultivating gardening as a lifestyle.
Our workshops are facilitated by our horticulture and outreach staff, or by the industry experts. Our guided tours are led by volunteers who have a penchant for gardening and passion for all things green.
Please take note of the minimum group size for each workshop and activity, and that each booking must be made at least once (1) month in advance.
A comprehensive list of gardening workshops and activities for both adults and youths can be found below:
- Children and Youths
- Eco-learning Journey (for schools only)
To sign up for our workshops and activities, please call us at 6471 5601 or email us at NPARKS_HortPark@nparks.gov.sg to make a booking.
2. Industry Partnership & Collaboration
There are over 40 display plots available for interest groups to showcase their gardening concepts and products. We also collaborate with our partners by offering them the opportunity to share their knowledge during our events and activities.
If you are interested to take up a plot or collaborate with us on a gardening project, please email us at NPARKS_HortPark@nparks.gov.sg.
3. Events & Activities
Every month, we collaborate with our industry partners and members of various gardening groups to organise gardening activities for the public. School collaborations are also run extensively to start gardening awareness and nature appreciation among young children.
The quarterly Gardeners' Day Out event is an extension of our mass outreach efforts, offering interactive and fun-filled gardening activities to cultivate the spirit of gardening in everyone, regardless of your level of interest and knowledge in gardening. Great plant bargains and offers are also available at our Gardening Bazaar held at every edition of our Gardeners' Day Out.
