  • Do not touch the bee hotels along the bee trail as this may disturb the bees.
  • If you wish to fly your drone at the HortLawn, Hort Centre, or the Silver Garden within HortPark, you will have to apply for drone usage at least 2 weeks before the intended flying date. Applications submitted less than 2 weeks in advance will not be considered.

Bee-friendly plants
Bee-friendly plants

Look for flowering plants such as the Indian Snakeweed, Red Leea and Rose Myrtle along the bee trail and butterfly garden trails.

Gelam tree
Gelam tree

Its flowers resemble bottle brushes, because of how they grow on a long spike. Large flakes may peel off from the tree bark, looking like sheets of paper.

The park's butterfly garden is home to a variety of butterfly species such as the Common Rose, Lime Butterfly and the Common Mormon.

Do the flowers remind you of candles? Its yellow flowers grow in a column and bloom from the bottom. Unopened buds are orange, giving the flower stalk a glow.
