I am extremely impressed by
Singapore and never imagined that you would have such
greenness and
nature...

Dr Djoghlaf
United Nations
Biodiversity Chief

Dr Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity
was so pleased with Singapore’s unique conservation model during his visit in January 2008, that he said during an interview with local media, “I am extremely impressed by Singapore and never imagined that you would have such greenness and nature in the heart of one of the most populated cities in the world. Singapore is already going in the right direction but my plea is that the experience you have accumulated, you share with the world and your neighbours.”
