The Jacob Ballas Children's Garden at the Bukit
Timah Core of the Singapore Botanic Gardens
is a specialized garden dedicated to children.
Through play and exploration, children will
learn about the importance of plants and
conservation. Experiences in the garden will
stimulate a sense of wonder for the plant
world and provide happy memories for our
child visitors. This will be the first garden of
its kind in Asia.
The Birthday Party Sara at the Children's Garden
Sara is celebrating her baby brother's birthday party. At the last minute, she realizes she forgot the birthday present! Help Sara search for the perfect gift at the Children's Garden. Along the way, have a fun and memorable experience in this new Garden dedicated to children.

Follow a trail of numbers and shapes at the Children's Gardens!
Children will have the opportunity to discover some interesting
characteristics about selected plants with special emphasis on leaves,
their numbers and shapes.

Pond Life
Discover pond ecology at a tender age! Tour covers aquatic, semi-aquatic plants and animals. Children will also be introduced to food chains and the ecosystem.

A comprehensive study on selected members in the living collection
at the Children's Gardens. This tour emphasises functional parts
of a plant; namely leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds.

Flowers At Work
Children are encouraged to take a closer look at selected flowering
plants to increase their understanding of the forms and functions
of flower parts. Thus, unfolding the mysterious role of flowers

Talk: Highlights at Jacob Ballas Children's Garden
Join us for a talk on the newly opened Children's Garden! Hear more about plants of many colours, shapes and sizes, textures and feel in our Sensory Garden. Growing here are also plants for drinks, plants for dyes and plants that grow on other plants! Have fun at the fantastic forest which includes a tree house, a pond, a suspension bridge and a cave! Plenty to do here, plenty to see!

The group size for each educational tour or hands-on planting session
is 20 children(min) to 25 children(max). In the event the number
of participants per group is less than the minimum group requirement,
please note that the minimum charge for 20 children will still be
levied.

Registration is on a first come first served basis upon receipt
of registration form. To avoid disappointment, please make booking(s)
with us at least one month in advance.
Payment can be made by cash or cheque on the actual day of the
programme. Cheques should be made payable to "National Parks
Board". Please print name of organisation, name of programme,
date and time of programme on the reverse side of the cheque.
For organizations, an invoice can be issued and mailed to designated
organization after completion of programme. All payments shall be
settled promptly. Please note that our credit term is 30 days from
the date of issuance of invoice.

Registration is on a first come first served basis upon receipt of registration form and payment. Please note that the closing date of registration for each programme is two working days prior to the commencement of the programme.

For nature tours, please make cash payment at the Information Counter
located at the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden at least 15 minutes
prior to commencement of tours. For safety reason, tours will be
cancelled should it rain heavily in the morning of the tours.
(For Scheduled Workshops)
To secure a place, payment should be made prior to commencement of workshop. Advance payment should be made in cheque. Please made cheque payable to "National Parks Board". Please print name of participant, name of programme, date and time of programme on the reverse side of the cheque, and mail it to the mailing address given. Please note that payment is not refundable.
