Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Course

INTRODUCTION

The Certified Playground Safety Inspector course is a Professional Certification Programme for playground safety inspectors.  It is an intensive 2.5(-) day programme designed to provide professional training and assessment for achieving the Certified Playground Inspector status accredited by the National Recreation and Park Association, United States of America (http://www.nrpa.org).

This course aims to provide its participants with the essential knowledge on playground maintenance, comprehensive and up-to-date training on playground safety, as well as certification for playground safety inspectors accredited by the National Recreation and Park Association, United States of America.

FUNDING

Absentee Payroll Funding

Absentee Payroll Funding is a grant to help employers defray the manpower costs incurred when they send their employees for certifiable skills training during office hours. Companies are required to submit their applications for the grant through the SkillsConnect portal here.

SDF Subsidy

Companies sponsoring their employees (Singaporeans / PR only) are eligible for SDF subsidy, and must apply for the subsidy via SkillsConnect at least five days before the course.

Funding policy has been revised with effect from 1 October 2015.  Please note that only participants who have achieved at least 75% of attendance in training and passed the assessment will be eligible for funding. The subsidised fees listed below are indicative and subject to changes depending on the companies’ criteria.  Companies sponsoring their employees have to pay the full course fee and claim the funding by themselves upon receipt of the passed assessment notification.  You may refer to the link here for more details of the revised funding policy.
