Playground Maintenance Technician (PMT)

INTRODUCTION

This programme is designed to provide a systematic approach to maintaining playgrounds. It also serves as intermediary training that less experienced personnel should take prior to sitting for the more comprehensive Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) programme. This two-day programme uses classroom facilitation and virtual animation to help bring the playground into the classroom. This course is developed by the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) USA, and is the most comprehensive training programme on playground maintenance and inspection, and includes other new industry risk management methods developed specifically for this programme. The course is accredited by the Clemson University Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, USA.
