Understanding the fundamentals of tree decay is an important aspect of visual tree assessment. Through this workshop, participants will learn how decay in trees come about and how to visually differentiate between decayed and sound wood.
The program will cover the following:
- How wood decay occurs
- The types of wood decay
- Processes of wood decay at the cellular level
- How to differentiate visually between decayed wood and sound wood
