The first of its kind in Southeast Asia, its main purpose is to restore the ecological connection between two nature reserves, allowing wildlife to expand their habitat, genetic pool and survival chances. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Eco-Link@BKE led by NParks volunteer guides and learn of its role and importance in the conservation of Singapore’s natural heritage. Access to Eco-Link@BKE is only allowed during these guided walks, so as to minimise disturbance to animals. Prior registration is required on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration is compulsory for all participants and visitors who turn up without registering will be turned away. Do note that participants need to be above 12 years of age. Due to overwhelming response, registration has closed. Notes to participants: Arrive at Carpark B at least 10 minutes before scheduled time. The bus that brings you to the Eco-link@BKE will depart on time. Avoid wearing bright coloured clothes, as these are often interpreted by animals as danger Avoid using insect repellent or sunscreen, as the scent from these products may deter the animals from using the bridge Wear long sleeved shirt and pants to avoid insect bites Prepare adequately, such as wearing proper footwear (hiking or covered shoes), bringing sufficient water, and a hat to shield yourself from the sun.
