It's time to hang a lantern, enjoy a mooncake and peel a pomelo as Mid-Autumn Festival is coming! From 17 September to 3 October, Jurong Lake Gardens will be presenting a series of interactive online and onsite programmes, bringing good cheer as we continue adjusting to life in the new normal!
On 21 September, join us online to relax and unwind with Music Under the Moonlight 2021. Homegrown artistes The Freshman, Flame of the Forest and Dawn Wong will be performing an exciting curation of music while you and your loved ones savour mooncakes and tea from the comfort of your home.
Be captivated by the sunset as our guides share fun facts about the flora and fauna in the Gardens on our Sunset Walks. Tour slots are limited. Fastest fingers first!
Mid-Autumn Festival Light-up
Date: 17 September to 3 October 2021
From 17 September to 3 October, various sections of the garden will be lit up between 7pm to 11pm daily. Enjoy the walk through the Gardens with trees aglow, as we continue the traditions of Mid-Autumn Festival with the light-up!
Keep to group sizes of no more than 5 persons, always wear a mask and observe a safe distance of at least one metre from other visitors.
Music under the Moonlight 2021 (Online Concert)
Date: 21 September 2021, Tuesday
Time: 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Music fans will be treated to an exciting online concert by our talented homegrown artistes, The Freshman, Flame of the Forest and Dawn Wong. Let them nourish your soul with mesmerising melodies in this hour-long concert!
Flame of the Forest
Be mesmerised by Govin Tan (Tabla), Jeffrey Tan (Fiddle), Andy Chong (Guitar), Caleb Koa (Keys) and Arthur Wiyono (Electric Bass), Flame of the Forest maintains its "East meets West" parentage while adopting new sonic identities that mirror its progressive digital native society.
A recipient of the Jazz Association (Singapore) 2018 Local Scholarship, Dawn Wong was a top graduate of her class and has performed at several local and overseas Jazz festivals, including Thailand International Jazz Festival 2018. Known for her whistle register vocal range, clear and soothing voice, Dawn Wong is a sought after vocalist for her versatility and clear, soothing voice.
Formed in 2010, The Freshman consists of Carrie Yeo and Chen Diya who are alumni of the reality TV singing competition Project SuperStar 2007. The youthful duo had toured with the legendary Jacky Cheung and performed sold-out shows at the Esplanade. Over the years, The Freshman has been winning hearts with their original compositions and perfect harmonies.

Eco-Friendly Lantern with Dried Leaves
Hang an eco-friendly lantern this Mid-Autumn Festival using dried leaves and materials easily found at home! You can also bring this LED lantern to the Gardens for a walk to showcase your creativity!
Bunny Mooncake Box and Moon Phase Viewer
Mid-Autumn Festival presents an educational opportunity! Teach your young about the spirit of gifting and the different phases of the moon by making your own Bunny Mooncake Box and Moon Phase Viewer. Making crafts together is an excellent bonding activity too!
Introduction to Night Photography by PassionWaVe @ Jurong Lake Gardens, 18 September 2021, 11am
Photography is light painting on a canvas. The magic of photography does not stop when the sun sets, in fact, it only gets more magical when night falls. You will learn how to avoid blurry and underexposed photos, and also how to make creative photos in unexpected dim lighting situations. Through this webinar, discover the true meaning of 'Painting with Light'.

Interactive Storytelling Session "The Golden Lantern" by Ms Suzannah Chua and Lakelife Residents' Network, 18 September 2021, 3.30pm
Journey along with our local author Ms Suzannah Chua in this interactive storytelling session as we discover how our little girl Sophie learns about the value of kindness that can ignite the light in our heart to do greater good.

Riddle Guessing Session by Riddle Association (Singapore) and Lakelife Residents' Network, 19 September 2021, 3.30pm (Presented in Mandarin)
Mid-Autumn Festival is not just about admiring the moon, eating mooncakes and lifting of lanterns. One interesting culture of Mid-Autumn Festival is the guessing of lantern riddles where adults and children can participate together in this callenging and fun activity. Conducted by Teacher Huang Zhenxin from the Riddle Association (Singapore). This session will introduce the basic understanding of concept on how to solve a riddle as well as to engage in a mini challenge of solving riddles together in an online session.

Have you ever wondered how to make your own lantern?
Join us and learn how to create your very own lantern for the Mid Autumn Festival!
We have prepared 2 lantern crafts with different difficulty levels. Younger children of ages 7 to 9 will learn how to create lanterns from recycled plastic bottles while older children of ages 10 to 12 will have a hand at making a traditional lantern.
Additionally, there will be fun and intriguing riddles about the plants and animals found in the Jurong Lake Gardens!
Online Workout by ActiveSG @ Jurong Lake Gardens
Mooncakes are high in calories, but you don’t have to dwell in guilt after indulging in a sweet treat. Instead, get active with a series of online workout sessions organised by ActiveSG to burn off those extra calories! These Zoom sessions will surely get your heartbeat racing and adrenaline pumping!
