May's Bazaar in the Garden (BIG) will be held in conjunction with SustainableFest 2022 @ Jurong Lake Gardens.
Join us onsite at Jurong Lake Gardens or online from the comforts of your home for many exciting programmes and workshops from the 28 - 29 May and 4 - 5 June!
Kick-start your day with us through the fun filled series of online children's programmes to learn more about biodiversity and sustainability in Jurong Lake Gardens and learn sustainable gardening tips for your ornamental house plants!
You will also get to explore the gardens teeming with biodiversity and its sustainable features, and enjoy a concert in the garden with a sustainable twist!
BIG Online Talks and Workshops
Do register for the number of devices you will be using for the session. If there will be more than 1 participant joining the session under 1 device, please indicate the numbers in the remarks when you are registering.
Children’s Storytelling

Why were the animals at Jurong Lake Gardens panicking and what happened in the end?
Join us and listen to a story about biological diversity and learn how to make a rocking bird craft!

I am a Responsible Pet Owner! (Online)

10.00am - 11.00am
Are you ready to own a pet? Learn more about how to provide basic care and understanding various behaviours of pet animals. You will get to understand the importance of adopting a pet and what you can do to become a responsible pet owner!
In this edition, we will be introducing participants to chinchillas. Being one of the more popular types of pets, there is much to learn about these adorable ‘fur-iends’. Participants will have an engaging session to learn about chinchillas and meet our pet ambassador, Snowie, online.

Jurong Lake Gardens Craft Session (Sustainability)

11.00am – 12.00pm
Join us for a session of fun to learn more about the biodiversity found in the Jurong Lake Gardens!
In this online session, spend 1hr with us and make a sustainable craft and learn more about sustainability in Jurong Lake Gardens.
Do note that children will need to turn on their cameras for the session.

MOLLY the Mobile Library (May)
Join us as we bring the library closer to you!

We have books for all ages and you can look forward to borrowing and returning books all in the same place.
Do remember to bring your library card!
Event will be held at Wave Plaza near Forest Ramble.

About MOLLY the Mobile Library
As part of the National Library Board’s commitment to promote reading and making books available to all children, MOLLY® the Mobile Library provide access to a large collection of children’s books, along with services like book borrowing and returning, at selected pre-schools, Special Education (SPED) schools, or communities with little access to libraries.
MOLLY® the Mobile Library comprises of one big MOLLY bus and two mini-MOLLY buses, which carry thousands of books and visit special education centres and pre-schools, kindergartens and childcare centres in the Housing and Development Board (HDB) estates.
The latest edition – MOLLY® 3 – is equipped with new features such as a wheelchair lift, a magnetic whiteboard for activity sessions, and customised child-friendly book stations at a convenient height for young readers that allow children to borrow and return books by themselves.
This event is brought to you through a collaboration between NParks and National Library Board.
