  • 25 June CWL Weird and Wonderful

    Some plants have really strange qualities... hmmm. For example, the Venus fly-trap eats bugs (ewww!). Some have sweet leaves or shoots which may be eaten, while others are poisonous and to be avoided. In this workshop, children will learn about our weird and wonderful plants through a slide-show, plant specimens and even get a chance to do some craft work. Last but not least, go on a guided walk around the Gardens looking for the weird plants!

    Sara, the Botanicosaurus, discovers a treasure chest of precious photos and items left behind by her grandmother, Nana. Each of these artefacts tells a story of the wonderful plants and people that have contributed to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Join her as she explores the Gardens and uncover its rich heritage! Participants will go on a guided tour of the Heritage Museum and Heritage Core of the Gardens.
