HortPark Garden Tour

Take a stroll around HortPark. Learn all about interesting plants and gardening ideas as we take you through the various Theme Gardens and Display Plots.

Note: Some walking required, thus participants should be reasonably fit.

Target Level: Kindergarten to Tertiary
Cost: $7 per participant
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants and maximum of 25 participants per group

General Remarks:

  • In the event that the number per group is less than the minimum number required, please note that the charge for minimum pax will still be levied.
  • Prices for workshops and activities are applicable for all confirmed bookings made with effect from 27 March 2013.

Kent Ridge Park Heritage Tour

Kent Ridge Park is one of the few places in Singapore that is rich in both historical and natural heritage. Discover the interesting fauna and flora, and learn all about the fiercest battle fought in Singapore during the World War II.

Note: Some walking required, thus participants should be reasonably fit.

Target Level: Secondary to Tertiary
Cost: $7.50 per participant
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants

Southern Ridges Nature Tour

  

This tour takes you through the Southern Ridges, a soothing sanctuary of greenery that is steeped in history and unique flora and fauna. Highlights of the tour include the Henderson Waves, Sembcorp Forest of Giants, Forest Walk and The Singing Forest.

Cost: $10 per participant
Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants

Fascinating Forest of Labrador

 

Labrador Nature Reserve has played a significant role in the early years of trading and in the defence of Singapore during World War II. Discover the rich heritage of Labrador Nature Reserve, explore Singapore's only coastal cliff vegetation, and learn how plants in the nature reserve play an important role in the ecosystem by supporting the different life forms.

Note: Some walking required, thus participants should be reasonably fit.

Junior Potters’ Garden Adventure

Have a fun adventure learning all about the green treasures in the Pitter Patter Potter Garden! Smell, touch and see the plants around, while you learn about life cycles of plants, the uses of different plant parts, the importance of plants to us and the relationship between plants and garden animals. Try growing plants from seeds at the end of your tour!

Target level: K1 to Primary 1 (5 to 7 years old)
Cost: Free
Duration: 1.5 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants and maximum of 40 participants per group

Young Potters’ Garden Study

Go on a journey in the Pitter Patter Potter Garden to explore the various seed dispersal methods, learn about plant life cycles, observe different parts of a plant and discover the unusual relationship between plants and animals. Learn how plants multiply, and have a go at gardening through a funfilled hands-on session. The Young Potters’ Garden Study will help you to appreciate nature, and better understand how living things interact with their environment.

Target level: Primary 2 to Primary 4 (8 to 10 years old)
Cost: Free
Duration: 1.5 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants and maximum of 40 participants per group

Junior Butterfly Explorers

This is an interactive tour and workshop at the Butterfly Garden. Observe the different stages of the butterfly life cycle and the various ways these winged jewels have evolved over time to adapt to their environment. You can also observe the different species of butterflies up close.

This programme explores the importance of biodiversity as well as the relationships between butterflies and the other organisms in their environment. Learn about the role of butterflies in the ecosystem and the importance of conserving the environment.
