HortPark Garden Tour

Take a stroll around HortPark. Learn all about interesting plants and gardening ideas as we take you through the various Theme Gardens and Display Plots.

Note: Some walking required, thus participants should be reasonably fit.

Target Level: Kindergarten to Tertiary
Cost: $7 per participant
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants and maximum of 25 participants per group

Kent Ridge Park Heritage Tour

Kent Ridge Park is one of the few places in Singapore that is rich in both historical and natural heritage. Discover the interesting fauna and flora, and learn all about the fiercest battle fought in Singapore during the World War II.

Note: Some walking required, thus participants should be reasonably fit.

Target Level: Secondary to Tertiary
Cost: $7.50 per participant
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants

Southern Ridges Nature Tour

  

This tour takes you through the Southern Ridges, a soothing sanctuary of greenery that is steeped in history and unique flora and fauna. Highlights of the tour include the Henderson Waves, Sembcorp Forest of Giants, Forest Walk and The Singing Forest.

Note: Some walking required, thus participants should be reasonably fit.

Target Level: Secondary to Tertiary
Cost: $10 per participant
Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
Group size: A minimum of 15 participants

• The Southern Ridges Nature Tour is temporarily unavailable due to the closure of Forest Walk and Earth Trail. Please refer to the closure notice for more details.

Eco-learning Journey in HortPark (For Schools)

Nature Exploration at the Pitter Patter Potter Garden

Embark on a nature exploration journey at the Pitter Patter Potter Garden, a ‘Classroom in a Garden’ specially designed to complement schools’ curricular. In this workshop, children will develop a sense of wonder and respect for nature while deepening their knowledge about plants. 

Worksheets and materials will be provided. In the event of wet weather, an indoor activity will be conducted.

Basic Workshop

Discover the world of diverse plant forms and colours, the variety of fruits and seeds, plant life cycle and the animals that live in the garden.

Target Level: Pre-School (K1-K2)
Duration: 1h 15min
Group size: A minimum of 10 participants and maximum of 20 participants per group
Skills and concept: Nature observation and classification, counting and measuring, communication of thoughts and observations, caring for nature

Advanced Workshop

Learn about the plant life cycle, seed dispersal and the different ways that plants multiply. Observe the interactions between plants and animals and gain appreciation of biodiversity in a garden habitat.

Target Level: Lower Primary (P1-P3)
Duration: 1h 30min
Group size: A minimum of 10 participants and maximum of 20 participants per group
Skills and concept: Nature observation, recording and journaling, language and communication, caring for nature

The Modern Gardener Series

Indoor Gardening Workshop with Guided Tour

How to green up your home with plants? Sign up for this workshop and learn plant-styling and plant care tips to turn your home into a dreamy, leafy oasis. Each participant will bring home a shade-loving plant with a decorative pot. The session will end with a guided tour in the park for more refreshing gardening ideas.

 

Duration: 2.5 hours including guided tour

Price: $41 per participant (inclusive of materials)

Grow Your Edibles Workshop with Guided Tour

Interested in growing your own edibles but don’t know where to start? Join us in this workshop and learn how to grow microgreens, or young plants that are harvested and eaten before they fully mature. Embark on your edible gardening endeavor with us and bring home your own set of microgreens. This workshop ends with a refreshing tour at the Valley of Edibles as we introduce the common edibles found there.

Pressed Flower Workshop

Are you looking for ways to preserve your plants for an extended period of time? Join us for an interactive pressed-flower workshop where you can learn the techniques of pressing botanical materials such as flowers and leaves. In this hands-on workshop, you will also learn how to create various craftwork using pressed flowers and leaves. Each participant will bring home their wooden flower press and their masterpiece.
