Creatures Up Close and Personal

What is a mangrove and why is it important to us? Embark on a fascinating tour to discover the answer. Look out for Vinegar Crabs, Mudskippers, Fiddler Crabs, Mud-creepers, and much more! Learn how unique plants and animals live in this rich but harsh habitat.

Target Group: Primary, Secondary, Tertiary
Duration: 1.5 hour
Fees: $180 for the first 15 students
Group Size: A minimum of 15 students

Mangrove Guided Walk

Led by our experienced guides, this guided walks allows you to get up and close with the local residents of the mangrove while walking on the boardwalk. Keep your eyes peeled for Grey Herons taking flight, Giant Mudskippers trying to blend in with the environment, or Vinegar Crabs climbing up trees. Learn about the different root systems of the hardy mangrove trees in the mangrove forest at Pasir Ris Park, one of the last few mangrove forests in Singapore.

Target level: Primary, Secondary, Tertiary
Duration: 1 hour (only available in May and October)
Fees: $80 for the first 15 students and $5 for each subsequent student
Group Size: 15 to 40 students per group
