Growth Requirements

Place your sun-loving plants where they can acquire direct sunlight. This applies to flowering plants such as Ixora and Bougainvilleas, plants with coloured leaves like Coleus, and vegetables and herbs. Artificial light is not suitable for these plants. Where direct sunlight is not available, the next best location for these plants is where a good strong light prevails for the greater part of the day.

Shade-loving plants, on the other hand, prosper in areas of good, strong light without direct sunlight. These plants are very suitable for apartments.
