Flora & Fauna Web

ffw

NParks Flora & Fauna Web is a new website created to cater to the growing horticultural interest and wildlife awareness in Singapore.

Based on information compiled in our popular publication, '1001 Garden Plants in Singapore', and useful references, including the 'Singapore Red Data Book' and 'Migratory Birds of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve', Flora & Fauna Web is a one-stop information portal, integrating both floral and faunal text and photos on one website. This user-friendly online portal allows users to search for information on both plants grown in this region and animals that can be found in Singapore.

What can you do on Flora & Fauna Web?

  • Search and browse an ever-expanding information portal, featuring cultivated and native plants, as well as a variety of animal life sighted in our parks and nature areas
  • View attractive photos of interesting plants and animals
  • Learn about plant-animal relationships, such as butterflies and their host plants
  • Find out more about a plant or animal through "Did You Know"?
  • Share a piece of plant or animal knowledge by submitting a comment
  • Contribute plant and animal photos
  • Access to printer-friendly handout

With an aim to be a reference source for all who are interested in plants and animals in Singapore, from nature enthusiasts and hobby gardeners to students, Flora & Fauna Web will be updated regularly with new photos and information on native and cultivated plants as well as terrestrial, freshwater and marine fauna.
