Coney Island Park

In this rustic, ecologically sustainable park rich in biodiversity and history, enjoy beautiful boardwalks, scenic cycling paths and diverse natural habitats.

You can enter the park via 2 entrances: the West entrance (near Punggol Point Walk and Punggol Promenade) or the East entrance (near Lorong Halus Wetland).

  • There are no carparks on the island. The nearest carpark is at Punggol Settlement.
  • Bicycle parking lots are located at both entrances – the West entrance (Punggol Point) and East entrance (Lorong Halus).

  • Wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly at the East and West ends.
  • Terrain is rugged at some parts of the park and may be unsuitable for young children and people with mobility issues.
  • Do not camp or fish.
  • Do not stray into the vegetation. Stay on designated trails.
  • Do not feed the monkeys or hold any plastic bag or water bottle when visiting the park.
  • Do not enter the Haw Par Beach Villa.
  • Do wear long pants and covered shoes for protection from insects such as sandflies.
  • Do keep a safe distance from wildlife such as stray dogs, wild boars and box jellyfish, which have been spotted in the area.
    • Note: Stray dogs are territorial and might be threatened by pet dogs.

Common Flameback

This vibrant woodpecker loves marshes. Males have a red crown while females have a black crown streaked with white.

Tree-climbing crabs
Tree-climbing crabs

Their bodies are flat and squarish, with flat pointed legs. They will cling to tree trunks just above the water line and remain motionless to avoid predators.

Casuarina tree

Commonly found near beaches, this shoreline tree species has tiny leaves, needle-like twigs and small spiky fruits.
