Intertidal Guided Walks

The intertidal area at Sisters’ Islands Marine Park is most suitable for visiting during low tides of 0.4 metres and below. This is when you will be able to see the shore teeming with marine life as the area will be submerged under water at higher tides.

Guided Walk

The monthly intertidal walks for May and June 2018 have been cancelled due to the temporary closure of the beaches at the lagoons on Big Sisters’ Island. This is to facilitate the removal of asbestos-containing debris that have been found at four isolated areas along the beaches.

Nature guides will be on hand to bring you on a tour to experience the Marine Park’s amazing biodiversity. These guided walks are conducted free of charge bi-monthly. Each guided walk session is open to a maximum of 45 people.

Please refer to the table below for the registration period.
