Sungei Buloh Volunteers in Reserve Service

The Sungei Buloh Volunteers in Reserve Service is made up of a group of dedicated, enthusiastic people with a passion for local wildlife. They believe in the importance of nature conservation, and enjoy working outdoors and sharing what they know about the unique flora and fauna of the Reserve.


Vision

To develop and retain a core group of volunteers to support the activities of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in areas such as:
  • Education
  • Stimulating awareness
  • Conservation
  • Research
  • Involvement


Volunteers will have the opportunity to be involved in:
  • Education programmes
  • Ground and reserve maintenance
  • Scientific studies
  • Privileges


Volunteers also enjoy privileges such as:
  • Training on tour guiding techniques and identifying various mangrove flora and fauna.
  • Social gatherings
  • Invitation to the Reserve's official events
  • Recognition ceremony
  • Serving the community
