Contest Issue 4

We have a slew of nature-themed prizes to give away in this issue! Just take part in these simple contests, and you could be a lucky winner.

Trees of Our Garden City (2nd edition)
The new edition of Trees of Our Garden City is a great window into the world of trees. Featuring 150 trees and palms in full colour, this book covers a wide range of the urban trees commonly encountered in Singapore.

To make sure that we don’t miss the forest for the trees, Trees of Our Garden City also provides a broad perspective of the function of trees in urban Singapore. For instance, ‘Our Garden City Story’ discusses how Singapore was transformed so quickly from a verdant jungle into a modern City within a tropical Garden. There are also chapters on ‘Tree Biology’ and ‘Trees and the Environment’, which explain how trees function, as well as their role in the ecosystem and the urban environment.

You can pick up your own copy at the Singapore Botanic Gardens bookstore and at major bookstores, for $35.

We have 3 copies of Trees of Our Garden City (2nd edition) to give away to My Green Space readers!
