Highlights

What’s your favourite green space in Singapore?

Mine has to be Toa Payoh Town Park – I remember many fun-filled days when I was young, racing up the famous dragon playground as well as exploring the park’s many arch bridges. These days, I still go there for evening jogs, although I’ve noticed it is now also a home for many species of dragonflies and damselflies, as well as Water Hens!

In this issue, we asked staff and friends of NParks to share with us where their favourite green spaces are on our little green dot. Their answers demonstrate the wealth of green pockets we have in our City in a Garden, and also reveal how so many of our treasured memories are tied to nature.

Still in the mood to explore? We went to find out more about two lesser-known spots – Zhenghua Nature Park and Sengkang Riverside Park. Learn how these places both surprised and delighted us.

As we look ahead, we give you ten reasons to make visiting HortPark for Gardeners’ Day Out a monthly appointment. We also provide you some ways to help you fulfil those New Year resolutions.

And of course, you must have noticed our brand new look. With the start of 2017 and the Lunar New Year holidays upon us, there is no better time to celebrate new beginnings than with a revamped look.

Hopefully you will like this new My Green Space even more, and do share your favourite green spaces with us via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
