Desert Rose

FFW (2)

The Desert Rose (Adenium obesum) originates from Eastern Africa to Southern Arabia and is loved by many for its bright flowers and unique swollen stem. The Chinese named this plant the “flower of wealth”, believing it brings good fortune and the caudex (swollen stem base) represents fertility. This species along with its cultivars are commonly seen in nurseries, especially during the Lunar New Year. It grows well in our tropical, humid climate and can be propagated from seed. Dear Sir/Mdm. My first time to come to know this flower name "Desert Rose" in English. I did not know that it could be propagated from seed. I have another plant like that which is double petals and is white in colour. I wonder if Desert Rose comes in white colour. Warmest Regards. yl March,20,2017
