Contest Apr 2022

22 April is Earth Day, a global annual event that highlights the importance of protecting our environment and taking action against climate change. Climate change impacts all of us, and we need to work together to combat it, to continue enjoying a comfortable way of life and the wildlife that co-exists with us.

Our City in Nature vision aims to address climate change impacts in multiple ways, including conserving our native forests, as well as restoring nature into the urban environment. It is a key pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030, which is a national movement on sustainable development.

You can play your part to help grow our City in Nature! For instance, you could plant a tree through the OneMillionTrees movement or take part in a citizen science programme to help conserve Singapore’s biodiversity. Or make gardening even greener by using sustainable horticulture techniques!

So have a think about the little things you could do! You can always get more ideas from our NParks Buzz microsite and NParksSG YouTube channel. When venturing out of your home, please stay safe by keeping your mask on and observing safe distancing in indoor settings. For the latest advisories on the COVID-19 situation, please visit
