This talk will introduce many various types of orchids we see today, how we can identify them, and most importantly, what makes them so special and attractive? The orchid family is one of the largest families of flowering plants with over 25,000 species! They can be found almost anywhere in the world, in different shapes, sizes, colours, scents and environment – but can you spot them? What do the unique features of an orchid tell you about them? The Fundamentals of Growing Orchids

We all love having beautiful flowers blooming in our homes, but sometimes it is easier said than done, especially with the tricky (but alluring) Orchid family! This talk will bring orchid growing back to basics and cover fundamental techniques to nail down orchid growing at home (which might not be as hard as you make it out to be)!

New! Bromeliads and An Introduction to Hydroculture

Join us to find out more about an interesting group of plants called Bromeliads. This includes the Tillandsia, otherwise known as air plants, which are gaining popularity among plant enthusiasts. You will also be introduced to growing plants without the use of soil. This workshop is great for urbanites who wish to add a touch of green to their living spaces sans dirt and grime.
