(A Biodiversity Workshop)
Discover plants with unique and strange qualities such as the Pitcher plant, Venus flytrap, Ant plant, and Air plant. This workshop includes a guided walk through the Gardens to look for strange-looking plants and observe them in their natural habitat. Join us to learn about the important ecological roles of plant life in the environment and the importance of conserving our biodiversity.

The Tribal Warrior
(A Nature Rambling Programme)
Embark on an adventure into nature and learn how to live as a tribal warrior in harmony with the natural world. Learn how various plants can provide us with the means to live, eat, and play. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Ethnobotany Garden and learn the art of weaving using plant-based materials such as bamboo.

Storytelling: Practice Makes Po-fect
Po, the Raffles' Banded Langur, has just started climbing trees. But it is not as easy as it seems!
Not wanting to be the slowest in his troop, he seeks help from his friends to learn how to climb more quickly. Join Po on his journey as he learns about hard work and determination.
Participants will also be making their very own Po paper puppet, which will be used in this interactive storytelling.

New Garden Delights: Suan Pan Zi
(A Culinary Workshop)
Are you an aspiring chef? Try your hand at making our tantalising local dish, Abacus Yam Seeds (suan pan zi), and learn about the natural ingredients used in it, such as yam, mushrooms, and spring onions. You will also have the opportunity to let your creativity flow through a hands-on experience using natural materials to create your very own artwork made of seeds that you can bring home.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis upon receipt of registration form. Do note that the closing date for registration is 2 working days before the programme begins, or when the class is full. You will be placed on our waiting list if the programme is full.
An email confirming the status of the event will be sent to you at least one week prior to the event. In the event that the programme is cancelled, we will refund any payment made within 30 days. Please note that there is no refund if you wish to cancel registration, or if there is no-show of participant(s).
