Oral Presentation

  • Speaker instruction

After abstract acceptance, all oral presenters, including country report, invited and keynote speakers, must submit a manuscript for Acta Horticulturae – if this is not agreed to by the author(s), the work can be presented as a poster instead. Authors of posters are welcomed to submit their manuscript for Acta Horticulturae but posters cannot be published as such.

Acta Horticulturae (ISSN 0567-7572) is a peer reviewed series, mainly the proceedings of ISHS Symposia and the International Horticultural Congress. All Acta Horticulturae articles are available online here.

For guidelines and instructions on how to prepare your manuscript for publication in Acta Horticulturae see ISHS authors guide.

  • Student Award

To encourage students to participate and submit their research, during the symposium two student awards will be given from ISHS:

  • One award for the best oral presentation given by a student who is in the same time the presenter and first author of the submitted manuscript
  • One award for the best poster presented by a student who is first author of the work

ISHS Student Award winners will be recognized in each symposium report published in the quarterly ISHS membership magazine Chronica Horticulturae, including a photo of the award ceremony or the award winners and a brief outline of the winners. Awardees will be invited to write a summary on their research, to be considered for publication in Chronica Horticulturae. A one-year complimentary membership of the ISHS and a Certificate will be awarded to the winners.
