In a Day's Work: Heritage Core Horticulturist (Heritage Festival 2026)

Ever wondered what it takes to care for the heritage landscapes of Singapore Botanic Gardens? Join one of our horticulturists for a behind-the-scenes walk through the Heritage Core and discover how its historic character is maintained as the living landscape continues to grow and change. Explore selected areas such as the Bandstand, Hoya House and Heritage Garden, and gain a fresh perspective on the horticultural thinking that keeps these treasured landscapes thriving for future generations.

Suitable for ages 10 and above. Children aged 14 years and below must be accompanied by an adult participant.

This programme is part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Fort Canning Park Heritage Festival 2026. From 5 – 13 September, step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Fort Canning Park. Discover the stories and history that have shaped our Gardens and Parks, as you explore the stunning landscapes by day and after dark.
