Singapore Botanic Gardens is currently working on a Flora of Singapore to catalogue, describe and key out all species of bryophytes, lycophytes, ferns, gymnosperms and flowering plants that are native, naturalised and casual in Singapore.

The Flora of Singapore will be published in 14 volumes with each plant family preassigned to a particular volume. We estimate that we will complete the Flora in ten years with collaboration of experts from throughout the world. As families are completed and edited they will be published in a simple text form on this website so that they are available to anyone wanting to know more about the plant diversity of Singapore. When all content for a particular volume is completed the family accounts will be printed with full colour photographs and line drawings and the updated version will again be made available through this website. Only the final versions of the content of volumes 1, 7 and 13 will be made available.

This website will evolve over time as content becomes available to publish online.
