Allotment Gardens

Looking for a space to nurture your green fingers?

Allotment Gardens

The Allotment Gardening Scheme allows individuals to lease gardening plots for aspiring gardeners to hone their skills and grow their own greens.

Following the initial success of the pilot scheme at HortPark, new gardening plots have been introduced in more than 10 parks and gardens islandwide. Currently, more than 1,000 plots are available for lease to the community.

Unfenced, each allotment plot consists of a 2.5 m x 1 m raised planter bed, and can be leased for a period of three years at a charge of $57/year (excluding GST). Each household (applicant must be at least 18 years old) is able to ballot for a plot under this scheme.

Assigned through a balloting system, a Letter of Offer will be sent to successful applicants within a month and you can expect to start gardening in your very own plot approximately another one to two months after. One applicant per household is allowed to a Licence of one allotment gardening plot at any one time.
