SAMBIESTA returns to the Singapore Botanic Gardens for an annual evening of irresistible Afro-Brazilian rhythm and reimagined favourites. Expect bright, rhythmic grooves and an atmosphere that gets the whole lawn moving. Catch the band on stage and up close on the lawn, with guest sets by Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Baracuda Batucada, Temasek Polytechnic’s Fusion Percussion, MOTUS, and the annual workshop ensemble Friends of SAMBIESTA.
 
About SAMBIESTA
SAMBIESTA is a Singapore-based percussion band with an Afro-Brazilian set-up, commonly referred to as Samba. Incepted in 2007, SAMBIESTA specialises in fusing Afro-Brazilian percussion with modern funk, and drum and bass.
 
SAMBIESTA has performed at numerous events including Singapore Grand Prix, StanChart Singapore Marathon and Singapore Rugby Sevens. SAMBIESTA has also performed on international stages in Germany, Los Angeles, Liverpool, Spain and Korea. SAMBIESTA is the proud Champion of 2018’s Percumon Samba festival in Spain and 2019’s Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival in Korea.
