Assessment of Projects

Projects will be assessed based on the type of development, and the status of the project:

Type of development Development
Status of project New Project is nearing completion or has received Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) / Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC) for less than 2 years.
Existing Project is completed and has received CSC for 2 years or more./td>

Applicants and LEAF assessors will convene for an assessment meeting followed by a site assessment. Projects will be assessed based on the following criteria:

  • Accessibility
  • Biodiversity Conservation
  • Community Wellbeing & Engagement
  • Design & Landscaping
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Maintenance

After the assessment, the project will be evaluated by the LEAF Evaluation Panel and LEAF Assessors to determine the project's eligibility.

Projects certified between years 2013 and 2019 are titled either 'Certified' or 'Outstanding' 'Certified'; title is given to all successful applications.
'Outstanding' title is given to developments with distinguished greenery provision and high quality landscape and biodiversity enhancements above and beyond the norm.
Going forward, projects certified from year 2020 onwards will be give the following titles:



Applicants will be notified of the results after completion of the assessment.
