Assessment-Only Pathway (AOP) for WSQ Higher Certificate in Landscape (Horticulture and Turf Maintenance)

Changes to the Landscaping WSQ qualifications accepted for Landscape Work Permit Holders (WPHs) to qualify as higher-skilled (R1)

NParks CUGE has launched three new WSQ Higher Certificates in Landscape in place of the WSQ Certificate in Landscape Operations which is no longer offered.

From 10 Feb 2022, the Landscaping WSQ qualifications accepted for Landscape Work Permit Holders (WPH) to qualify as higher-skilled (R1) will be revised as follows:

Landscaping WSQ qualifications accepted for WSQ Upgrading Pathway (Services sector)

Landscaping WSQ qualifications accepted for Multi-Skilling Scheme (Construction sector)
  • WSQ Higher Certificate in Landscape (Arboriculture)
  • WSQ Higher Certificate in Landscape (Horticulture and Turf Maintenance)
  • WSQ Higher Certificate in Landscape (Nursery)
  • WSQ Certificate in Landscape Operations
    (N.B. No longer offered but still accepted as a qualification for R1 if the WPH had obtained this certification prior to 10 Feb 2022.)

Assessment-Only Pathway (AOP)

CUGE is also offering the option of an Assessment-Only Pathway (AOP) for the WSQ Higher Certificate in Landscape (Horticulture and Turf Maintenance), which replaces the option of Composite Assessment (CA) that was offered previously. Landscape WPHs will automatically be upgraded to higher-skilled upon successful completion of all the requirements of the respective upgrading pathways. The revised levy rate will start on the 1st of the following month after the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has been notified by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) or the Building Construction Authority (BCA).
