LS LMM 1000C 1 WSQ Composite Assessment

The Composite Assessment for WSQ Certificate in Landscape Operations is designed for skilled landscape workers to validate their competencies under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) system. It is an assessment-only-pathway programme with no training provided.
 
Candidates will undergo the assessment of seven (7) core and three (3) elective units that make up the WSQ Certificate in Landscape Operations. The assessment comprises a practical performance and an oral questioning components. Successful candidates will attain the WSQ Certificate in Landscape Operations. 

WSQ UNITS TO BE ASSESSED

Recognise Plants and their Growth Requirements

2.

Improve Soil and Media

3.

Recognise Pests, Diseases, Invasive and Noxious Plant Species

4.

Identify Landscape Materials, Horticultural Products, Irrigation Components and Tools Used in the Industry

5.

Prepare to Work Within the Landscape Industry

6.

Safe Use and Handling of Non-Hazardous Chemicals under Supervision

7.

Comply with Workplace Safety and Health Policies and Procedures

8.

Plant, Mulch and Maintain Planted Areas

9.

Prune Plants (Not Exceeding 3 Metres in Height)1

10.

Maintain Amenity Turf and Open Grassed Spaces2

1 Required to operate Hedge Trimmer
2 Required to operate Lawn Mower and Knapsack Brushcutter

 

Who Should Attend
Skilled Landscape Workers / Technicians
- with at least one (1) year of landscape work experience
- able to converse in basic English

 

Candidates must complete a self-assessment checklist and submit a declaration form to indicate that they have met the qualifying criteria, failing which they will not be allowed to take the assessment.
