INTRODUCTION

Safety is of great importance for landscape personnel, whose day-to-day job involves handling mechanised equipment, working at height or using chemicals. This workshop aims to provide practitioners with supervisory responsibilities in the landscape industry with safety awareness and help prevent accidents from occurring. Participants will learn about safety hazards that frequently appear during landscaping operations.

  • Noise and its effects on health
  • Noise meter and how to operate it

Heat disorders

  • Effects of heat disorders
  • Signs and symptoms of heat disorders
  • First aid for heat disorders
