Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form It is a tree up to 31 m tall.
Foliage Its alternate, shortly-stalked leaves have leaf blades that are elliptic to oblong, and 12–25 by 4–10 cm. 
Flowers Its 5–10 cm-wide flowers have greenish-yellow petals with a reddish-yellow spot near the base.
Fruit Each flower produces 1–3, somewhat round, and 4–7 cm-wide fruits that each contains about ten seeds.
Habitat It grows in forests in the lowlands to hills up to about 760 m altitude.
Cultivation It can be propagated by seed.
