| Description | Black thorax with two yellow lines on dorsum and distinct thin yellow bands on sides. Mature individuals have pruinescence on thorax, and obscuring markings. When viewed dorsally, shape of abdomen is characteristic; widens rather markedly from fifth segment and becomes thinner again towards apex, giving it a spear-shape. Abdominal segments 6 to 8 are bright right on top. Eyes are brown above and pale yellow below. Female has similar thoracic markings with a thinner and dark brown abdomen. |
