Ecological Notes | This small, nocturnal, insectivorous bat roosts in smally groups in the internodes of bamboo. It enters and exists the roost through small slits made by beetles. |

Distribution | In Singapore, its recent presence is confirmed based on one individual netted at the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in 1997. However, it may be more common than believed for it is difficult to distinguish from the Large Bamboo Bat (Tylonycteris robustula). Distributed in India, south China, and throughout Southeast Asia. |
