Ecology, Habitat & Location

Habitats Mangroves, Parks & Gardens
Distribution Breeds Central Asia, India, China, Korea; In continental South-east Asia, breeds as far south as Peninsular Malaysia. Resident race for Singapore is extinct. The flycatcher is widespread throughout Singapore during the winter months and can be found in suitably wooded parks and gardens. At Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, tends to frequent the mid storey of the landward side of mangroves.
