Ecological Notes Lives epibenthically on subtidal muddy, sand, moving on the surface by the paddling action of its spines and apparently feeding on surface detrital organic matter. Can form dense aggregations.

Distribution Small numbers are widely distributed in Singapore waters with a larger population of aggregated individuals recorded subtidally at Pulau Semakau.
