Foliage | Tri-foliate leaves are composed of dark purple, triangular leaflets and look somewhat like shamrock leaves. Leaves fold downwards at night based on changes in cell turgor pressure near the leaf bases. The leaf movements in response to light conditions are known as photonasty. |
