Reproductive Parts - non-flowering plant | Small bulbils borne on upper surface of pinna lobes. Sori found on costular areoles, crescent-shaped, indusia dark brown and papery. |
Etymology | Genus Woodwardia is named after Thomas Jenkinson Woodward (1745 - 1820) who was considered one of the best botanists in England. Species orientalis means oriental and of the East and refers to the origin of the plant. |
