Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A herbaceous perennial vine, it has a twining to sprawling growth habit up to 2m in height.
Foliage The firm leaves are green with creamy white splotches and have five pointed corners and is smooth and fleshy to the touch.
Stems When grown sprawling on moist ground, the stems root at the nodes. 
Flowers The flowers are large and pale yellow.
Taxonomy The genus epithet ‘Senecio’ is derived from the Latin word ‘senex’ which means ‘old man’ dut to the pappus found the seeds. The species epithet ‘macroglossus’ refers to the large leaves. 
Cultivation In Singapore, this plant requires an air-conditioned environment to grow well.
