Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Rhizomatous herb to 90cm tall 
Foliage Leaves asymmetric, to 15cm long by 10cm wide. Upper surface dull grey, sometimes with a dull bluish green sheen, under surface dull red. 
Flowers Flowers pink tinged with white, to 4cm across. 
Cultivation his species was brought into cultivation via Charles Jaros (France), who received the plant from Cheryl Lenert (France). The plant purportedly originated from a botanical garden in Malaysia.
