Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form It has a rosette and clumping growth form. 
Foliage The leaves are arranged in a tight rosette and are 35 to 40cm long. The leaves are linear-triangular in shape and have a serrated leaf margin, becoming densely serrated towards the leaf apex. The spines are hooked in shaped. The young leaves are covered with a white scaly layer. The mature leaves are glabrous. 
Flowers The flowers are borne on a laxy bi-pinnate or tri-pinnate inflorescence.
