Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A liana that can grow up to 5 m, pubescent when young.
Foliage Leaves oblong to broadly ovate, thin and papery. Leaf blade has rounded to cordate base and acuminate apex. Leaves turn from green to bluish when dry.
Flowers Flowers are clustered in raceme like inflorescence, yellowish white, having 5 lanceolate lobes. Flowers are dark blue when dry.
Habitat Found in humid mixed woods.
Ethnobotanical Uses Others: The barks, leaves and flowers are said to be used in making blue dye.
