Description

Description A slender and dainty damselfly, with yellowish green blotches on the thorax and abdomen and unmarked wings. Some individuals are very pale, and are known as the 'ghost' form, which is commoner amongst females than males.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes Though small and slender, damselflies are active predators, snapping up mosquitoes and they are therefore important and useful creatures. Males are typically territorial and engage in border disputes.

Distribution Widespread in tropical Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia and Borneo.
