Description Body fur uniform dark brown, sometimes with strong reddish tinge. Short tail protruding from the middle of the interfemoral membrane.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes This nocturnal, insectivorous bat roosts on the surface of large boulders in forest. At rest, it props itself on its wrists with the body away from the substrate.

Distribution In Singapore, recently recorded from the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Distributed in Myanmar, Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Borneo, Java and Sulawesi.
