Description

Description Body short and squat, head broad and massive, hind legs long and relatively muscular. Back with a series of low longitudinal ridges, orange or brown with irregular grey blotches. Adult males have a backward-pointing bony protrusion on top of the head.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes This nocturnally active and insectivorous frog inhabits the bank of small shallow streams in mature forest and swamp forest.
Habitats Forest, Terrestrial
Distribution Known from the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, and a single locality in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. This species is endemic to the Malay Peninsula.
